After crews arrive at location they are to make an assessment
of the site and radio base camp of arrival and any additional
equipment they need. The safety officer will pick a suitable
location for dropping and picking up nets and radio those GPS
coordinates to base camp.
On-site method:
There are several categories of material to be cleared from
the grow sites; separation on site before removal will
probably save time in the long run.
Drip irrigation line: This should be rolled; then the rolls
tied with light rope or plastic ties. This task is easiest
when handled by two people working together. The line can be
followed up to the water source, and any stream alteration can
be removed.
Saleable or Reusable gear: This can be packed into large trash
bags, or, in the case of large heavy items, transported
singly. Trash bags should be securely tied or taped shut.
Recyclable material: This can be packed into large trash bags
and tied securely.
Trash: This should be packed into large trash bags and tied
securely.
The above three types of bags should be color-coded with
colored ties or tape before transport, and then the bags can
be separated at base camp.
In addition to materials removal, there is some site
restoration necessary, such as filling in sump holes. There
also may be structures to dismantle.
1300-1330 H-40 arrives from Fresno. We will have the cargo
nets ready and Barbara will Provide Andrea Brown H-40 ground
person with the GPS locations for each net to be delivered to.
As the Crews report back to base camp with the ready to go
status again Andrea will be provide this info to pass on to
H-40.
As the Items are delivered to base camp a ground team will
sort and categorize all items and pack the trailer for
removal.

Please keep in mind the Marijuana Garden restoration clean up
program is a High Profile event with many elements of risk
associated with it. We will most likely have News Media
coverage making this even more high profile and we could have
many high ranking members of the USFS, Law Enforcement
agencies and The California Highway Patrol in attendance
either helping us on the ground or as observers.
