Sample
Meadow
Oct. 2 - 5, 2003
We made great progress on installing the
campground at Sample Meadow;
there is still work to do, but we put a
big chunk of it in.

Sunset over Huntington
Lake

Part of the enormous group who worked on
the campsite; (L to R) Julie Evans, Phyllis Savari, Bev
Lambert, Bev Feskorn, Tony Garcia and
Jim.

Terry Tuell Concrete was VERY kind enough
to haul their Bobcats up and drill holes for the barrier
posts.

Bob Larsen positioning a barrier
post

Another Bobcat was brought up to move
rocks and picnic tables.

Haley Hintergardt (L) and Lisa Taggart
(from Sunset Magazine) fooling
around.

Carol stirs the Fajitas!! What a feast we
had!

We can't say enough about Jim! 78 years
old going on 55. He hauled barrier posts, dug holes, moved
rock... THANKS Jim!

Lisa and Phyllis move a barrier
post.

Shane discussing what to do next with the
Bobcat driver from Tuell Concrete.

Around the campfire Friday
night.

Another view of good times around the
campfire. The moon was out and it was a beautiful
night.
15 minute timed exposure; notice the star
tracks at the top of the photo.

Sisters Sherri and Terry Friday night
after dinner.

Sherri and "Goon-Goon" also known as
Junior..
"Ahhh... right there..... don't stop...
ahhhh, yesssss"

In addition to his official Trail Crew
duties as Head Bacon Cooker, Barry stirs the Fajita
chicken.

Another patented Trail Crew
sunset...

Norm and Bev standing guard over the
tri-tip.

Crew Leader Tony reading the paper before
dinner.

The burning question is this; a great
many of us were wondering what exactly is this contraption? No
one had an answer.
Thanks to Tom Duxbury for this
tongue-in-cheek explanation: "hi-speed scaffold for a
three-armed house painting crew"...
Thanks, Tom. I
think...
