Wishon Lake
August 22-25
This was the one of the largest groups in the
7-year history of Trial Crew. Over 80 people joined in projects on
Friday and Saturday, and over 95 people attended the Salmon Feed
Saturday night. As of this date (8/26/02), we have more than doubled
last year's output of volunteer labor.
Work was completed on the Nelson Lake and Cliff
Lake Trail. The Nelson Lake Trail was particularly infested with
down trees. In only one mile 6 trees were cut from the
trail.
The Rancheria Trail above Wishon Lake was
cleared of much of the brush that had grown to almost impassable
proportions. Additionally we completed the Wood Chuck trail loop
where our group removed 23 more trees from the trail.

afternoon for dinner.

Mike Nolen, Scott Bloomfield and Shane
kidding around before leaving for the Rancheria Falls trail
above Wishon.

Mary Ankney and friend taking a break
before dinner.

Bill Lee anticipates a delicious dinner
of grilled Alaskan Silver Salmon, corn-on-the-cob, rice pilaf
and roll.

Bob Larsen winds up for the throw in a
game of Horseshoes.

...and back

Base camp Saturday night before the
salmon feed. For once we had enough picnic tables to go
around.
